Founder, CEO and Principal Consultant of Citta Consultancy
Su Su Maung, M.A., LMFT, is a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in California, USA, a Board Certified Tele-Mental Health Provider, a Certified Employee Assistance Professional, a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, an Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder Certified Clinical Services Provider, and a Credentialed Disaster Mental Health Counselor. She has a M.A (Counseling Psychology) from University of San Francisco, a B.A. (Psychology) from San Francisco State University, a Post-Graduate Advanced Training Certificate in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from The Psychotherapy Institute in Berkeley, a Specialized Certificate in Online Teaching from University of California, San Diego Extension, and a Certificate in Social Sector Leadership from Philanthropy University in collaboration with Haas School of Business at University of California, Berkeley.
She has a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from University of San Francisco, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Francisco State University, a Post-Graduate Advanced Training Certificate in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from The Psychotherapy Institute in Berkeley, a Credential in Disaster Mental Health Counseling from Mental Health Academy, and a Certificate in Social Sector Leadership from Philanthropy University in collaboration with Haas School of Business at University of California, Berkeley.
She was a faculty and clinical supervisor at Myanmar Clinical Psychology Consortium, and an adjunct Psychology Instructor at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California. She co-founded and was a Chairperson and Executive Director of a non-profit organization Burma Refugee Family Network in Oakland, California, and had been on the stakeholder committee for the Mental Health Services Act in Alameda County, California. She is currently completing her certificate programs in Aromatherapy, Ecotherapy, and Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist.
She is multilingual in English, Burmese and Mandarin. Having intimate knowledge and lived experiences of various cultures, and with extensive experience in various sectors in arts, science and community work, she is skilled as a cultural, behavioral and relational consultant for organizations developing human potential and wellness in a changing world, and for communities healing and transforming from trauma and life challenges.

May Zaw Naing
Program Director and a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP)
May Zaw Naing is our Program Director and a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP) as recognized by Evergreen Certification committee. She has achieved a credential in Behavioral Addiction, Disaster Mental Health Counseling from Mental Health Academy. She completed her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology at Assumption University, Thailand. She graduated with M.B.,B.S from the University of Medicine (1), Yangon. She obtained the foundation certificate in Palliative Care provided by the Institute of Palliative Medicine, India, the Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Psychology at Yangon University, and Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ethics conducted by World Medical Association. She has served as a mentor in IRC-Wedu Mentorship for Resilience and Leadership in Refugees along the Thai-Myanmar border, Integrative Adapt Therapy practitioner and a primary care doctor for the underserved ethnic children from the armed conflict regions. She served as a volunteer executive committee member at the General Practitioners' Society and an advisory board member at the Future Light Center formed by the former political prisoners. With Mind to Mind Myanmar (UK), she volunteered as a mhGAP trainer and as a global mental health and wellbeing course facilitator at the Myanmar Medical Online Campus for the health care professionals. She is an alumni of the George W. Bush and the DeBoer fellowship programs. Her professional interests include addiction, trauma, attachment, self management, mental health policy and human rights.

Soe Paing Hein
Counseling Psychologist Associate
Soe Paing Hein, M.B.B.S, is our Counseling Psychologist Associate at the Mandalay branch. He is a current candidate at the thesis development phase for Master of Science in Counseling Psychology at Assumption University, Thailand. He has a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Psychology from Mandalay University and a Certificate in mhGAP from Mind to Mind Myanmar.
He graduated with MBBS degree, with a Diploma in Family Medicine from University of Medicine, Mandalay. Soe Paing Hein has worked as a physician at ICU department in Pun Hlaing Siloam Hospital and at Wa Chat hospital-Sagaing, and as a healthcare product solutions specialist prior to pursuing his career in counseling psychology.
In his work as a family physician, he recognizes the psychosomatic manifestation of stress, the mental health needs in his patients, and the lack of mental health literacy in his community. Therefore, he actively participated in development of mental health awareness in the community and volunteered as a mhGAP trainer for nation-wide workshops with Mind to Mind Myanmar.
His professional interest are in mental health conditions/illnesses, psychoeducation, psychosocial support, health education, wellness in healthcare sector, family and couple therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered therapy, Solution-Focused therapy, organizational psychology, career counseling, sexual health, and smoking and alcohol addictions.

Nang Kyi Pyar Maw
Senior Wellness Counselor
Nang Kyi Pyar Maw has been serving as Senior Wellness Counselor since 2017 and now creditable Deputy Director in CITTA. She has been attending Bachelor of Arts degree program in Psychotherapy in Asian School of Abuse Related Christian Counseling (ASARCC). She graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Pharmacy from University of Pharmacy, Yangon and Executive Diploma in Child Psychology from London Qualifications Board (LQB). She is already certified in Life Coaching, a certificate in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for coaches and a certificate in TeleMental Health. Along with her passion to help the community, she tried to catch up the trend by finishing the certificate in Psychological Support for Addiction Recovery Training, Prevention & Assessment of Suicidality in Youth. She finished her Diploma in Business Administration at Informatics and THAMES, Singapore. She already received the certification of Youth Development Program organized by Myanmar Medical Association and UNFPA on Happy and Healthy Adolescence Life, Teacher of Training and Youth Leadership Program in Health and Wellness. She is interested in issues around empowerment, who use her excellent presentation skills to engage the community around healthy and happy lifestyles. Her professional interests are lifestyle problems, personal empowerment, work- related problems, and Mind-Body holistic wellness. She is fluent in both Burmese and English languages.

Shwe Yee Zaw
Wellness Counselor
Shwe Yee Zaw, B.A. (Philosophy), is the Wellness Counselor at Citta Consultancy at our Mandalay branch. She obtained her Bachelor of Art in Philosophy from Yadarnarpon University. She also has certificates and a diploma in Human Resources Management. She studied Diploma in Applied Psychology as well. She had previously worked as a HIV/AIDS counselor for 3 years at the NGO Marie Stopes International Myanmar. She also has 5 years of experience in the Human Resources Management sector.
She is currently studying in Child Psychology. She is Certified Suicidally in Youth Assessment and Prevision, Certified Therapeutic Art Life Coach. She is a Art Therapy Practitioner.
She is interested in wellness at workplaces, community education and awareness raising around psychosocial wellness, and building capacity for organizations. She feels passionately about supporting her clients, and empowering them with practical tools for wellness.

Christina Moe
Wellness Counselor
Christina Moe, B.A. Honors (Psychology), is the Wellness Counselor at Citta Consultancy in Mandalay. She obtained her Bachelor of Art (Honors) in Psychology from University of Mandalay, and she is also a Master thesis candidate in the Department of Psychology, University of Mandalay.
Christina is currently training for Certification in the Master training programme of Integrative ADAPT Therapy. She also has a Level-1 Coaching Certificate . She is trained for Multicultural counseling, Integrative ADAPT Therapy, Counseling with Children, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Psychosocial Support for Addiction Recovery.
She started out as an intern at Citta Consultancy and now has joined our staff team. Prior to joining Citta, she has 2 years work experience as an assistant teacher in IPP program at CAE
private school. She also worked as a part-time tutor at the Department of Psychology
at the University of Mandalay for 2 years. Apart from her teaching experiences, she has a ton of experience in psychoeducational training and corporate training as a MHPSS Trainer. Her professional interest areas are in child psychology, school counseling, and youth psychosocial development.

Nay Thit
Part Time Wellness Counselor
Nay Thit is a Part Time Wellness Counselor from Citta Consultancy. He already had over 3 years of experience in counseling. I got a Bachelor degree of Myanmar Traditional Medicine from University of Traditional Medicine Mandalay in 2012. I attended Applied Psychology, Mental health and Counseling Training provided by some psychologists including psychologists from Citta Consultancy. I have learned Brain and Space(Introduction to Neuroscience) and Public Health approached Depression courses from Coursera(Global Online Learning). I have been learning continuously about psychological courses from some institutions. Before working as a counselor, I worked as a Traditional Medical Practitioner and Health care provider.

Esther Nang Ii Mun
Intern
Esther Nang Ii Mun received her honors bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of Mandalay, and is a first year Master’s student. She has worked as an intern at Citta Consultancy’s Internship Program (Batch – 4). She was also a volunteer practitioner of the Healing Burma Project. She currently resides in Myitkyina and is an outreach and wellness counselor for Citta Consultancy.

Yin Min Pike
General Manager
Yin Min Pike, B.Sc. (Mathematics), is our General Manager. She has several years of experience in office and clinic management. She is a self-starter who is creative with her approach to organizing and supporting project management.
She completed her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at Yenangyaung Degree College in Magway Region, and obtained her Diploma in Accounting (I). She also completed a Certificate of Basic Application Course and is well-versed in office computer software applications.
Her warm, respectful and friendly demeanor is reassuring to our staff and clients alike. She came to Citta after having worked as administrative staff at a local medical clinic, and has been a welcomed addition to Citta support team since she started with us.

Nang Amy Thet
Program Coordinator
Nang Amy Thet, B.A. (French Language and Literature), is our Administrative Assistant. She is a well presented and efficient support staff. Experienced in organizing events, providing excellent customers care, building good relationship with partners, agents and customers, she is highly motivated and enjoy the challenge of exceeding expectations in work.
Amy can speak both French and English, in addition to Burmese. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature at University of Foreign Languages in Mandalay, and obtained her Diploma in Business Management and Administration, Diploma in English, and Diploma in Tourism Studies and Management.

Thazin Aung
Admin Assistant
Thazin Aung, Admin Assistant from Citta Consultancy. She is a strong believer in strategic development through innovative approaches and experience in capacity building, facilitation, local governance, government relation, federalism and peace process, child and woman rights and Do No Harm. She is able to support and cooperate flexibly with other team members in organizational matters and problem solving. And a person who is eager to pursue new challenges to add value to self and country.
